Bill McKnight opened and closed the NICON 2014 conference “Better Together – Improving Outcomes Throught Innovation and Implementation” held in La Mon Hotel, Belfast. The annual conference brought together colleagues involved in the health and social care sector to address the needs of the communities now and into the future.

To celebrate World Mental Health Day, Bill McKnight read poetry at the Opening of the Loud Silence Exhibition at the Shankill Road Library in Belfast. The Exhibition featured a combination of art, sculpture and poetry, and ran from 10th October to 7th November. Bill’s work formed an integral part of the Exhibition itself.

Bill McKnight addressed the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust chaplains at the Drumalis Retreat and Conference Centre. His address was on faith and mental health.
Bill McKnight was back in London again to read his powerful poetry at the SAPPHIRE Summit, a conference with the theme ‘sharing stories to stop stigma’, hosted by the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London.
The book launch of Loud Silence was held in Queen’s University Belfast. The event was chaired by Joe Duffy, School of Sociology, Social Policy & Social Work. Bill McKnight was one of the three speakers addressing the audience consisting of sociology students, managers of various community groups, and the Belfast Trust.
